F1 means First Generation This means that a Labrador Retriever was bred to a Miniature Poodle resulting in the puppies being 50% poodle and 50% Labrador Retriever. All of our F1 Labradoodle puppies have a Labrador Retriever Dam and a Standard or Moyen Size Poodle Sire. We use only English Labrador Retrievers because they are known for their calm and laid back personality. These traits in the English Labrador Retriever combined with the active personality of the Poodle make for a more outgoing and loving Labradoodle puppy. We have also seen another benefit in this combination which is a more square stockier body with shorter legs. |
We currently have no Standard F1's available. We are waiting on our Sire to grow up and become tested first. Look for puppies in late 2009. In the meantime..........................
